The crest of the Charter Trustees of Bexhill can be awarded to any local business, group or organisation that voluntarily contributes to the well-being, vitality and regeneration of our town and surrounding villages or has provided exceptional service to our residents. The award permits the holder to use the crest of the Town of Bexhill, showing the high esteem the organisation is held in by the local community.

Freeman / Freewoman of the Town of Bexhill On Sea

The Freedom of the Town is an honour bestowed upon a valued member of the community. This historical practice dates back to the medieval time of granting respected citizens freedom from serfdom, although today the title of "freeman / freewoman" confers no special privileges.

The Charter Trustees bestow these honours and are happy to receive nominations from our local community.  Guidance notes and the application from are below.
